Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is planned to launch on Nintendo Switch sometime this year, but Nintendo is already prepping for next year with a new Metroid 2026 Wall Calendar. The $16 calendar is a piece of official Nintendo merch and will launch on July 15 alongside several other themes based on popular franchises. The cover art for next year’s Metroid calendar matches the edition from 2021, which appears to be the most recent Metroid edition.

But since it’s only January, it’s not too late to buy a 2025 calendar. Nintendo made a handful of those, too. Multiple of the 2025 Nintendo wall calendars are available at discounted prices, including a Super Mario-themed edition for $11.60 and a Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom version for $14.34. The 8-Bit Retro 2025 Wall Calendar is only $12.60 and comes with six die-cut notecards as well. This year’s edition focuses on items from the original Super Mario Bros. game. You can put together small 3D models of the following six items: Super Mushroom, Super Star, Fire Flower, 1-Up Mushroom, the Question Block, and coins.

For retro enthusiasts, there’s a Mario calendar with 8-bit images from the plumbers days spent hopping through stages on the NES. This one also comes with six die-cut notecards that can be folded to create 3D models of a Super Mushroom, Fire Flower, and more items from Super Mario Bros. The Mario Retro 2025 Wall Calendar is on sale for $12.60.

Metroid fans looking for merch that’s a bit more exciting than a calendar, how about an official art book focused on the Metroid Prime Trilogy? Slated to release this summer, Metroid Prime 1-3: A Visual Retrospective is a 212-page hardcover book published by Piggyback in collaboration with Nintendo. Piggyback previously created the wonderful (and gorgeous) guidebooks for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild–both of which are steeply discounted at Amazon–so Metroid fans should be in for a treat. Amazon is offering a 10% discount on the upcoming Metroid book that drops the price to $45 (was $50).

With two pieces of official Metroid Prime merchandise dropping so close together, maybe we’ll finally be playing Prime 4 by then? Or it could very well just be a coincidence.

As for Metroid merch you can pick up right now, Amazon has deals on official Metroid apparel, including T-shirts, long-sleeves, hoodies, and more, with designs based on Super Metroid, Metroid Prime, and other games in the series.
