Say goodbye to Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp and hello to Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete. Nintendo has revealed the offline-only continuation of the app, which will eschew the free-to-play model for a one-time purchase price of $10 before bumping up to $20 early next year.
Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete will launch December 2 and let original Pocket Camp players carry over their progress. However, there is a deadline for doing so. Save data from Pocket Camp must be linked to a Nintendo Account by 11 PM PT June 1, 2025, to transfer over to Pocket Camp Complete.
Once linked, Nintendo stated in a press release that purchasing the new app will let people “retain access to a majority of the items and events that have been a part of the game for the past seven years.” The special $10 introductory price will be doubled after January 30, 2025.
In August, Nintendo announced support for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp would end on November 28. The mobile game launched in November 2017 and required an internet connection to play. While free to play, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp introduced monthly subscriptions in 2019 and even increased one tier to $12 each month in 2022. None of those will be a part of the new app.
Meanwhile, one new addition for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete is Whistle Pass. This location is where players can meet up to catch musical performances. Another feature exclusive to the new app is Camper Cards: tradeable via QR codes and containing info like a player’s favorite neighbor.
Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete sees players becoming a campground manager. Like the mainline series, the app has people befriending animal buddies, fishing, and hunting bugs. The game will be available for Android and Apple iOS devices.
